Psychotherapist/ Social Worker

  • The candidate will work directly with neurodivergent adults providing psychotherapy/ counselling services. This role involves providing services virtually to clients to support engagement in therapy goals. This is a collaborative position that can evolve based on the candidate's expertise and approach. The role is an independent contractor position.

    • Complete comprehensive intakes/ assessments with clients.

    • Complete screeners and standardized assessments as required.

    • Provide direct services for clients to support intervention plans and individualized goals such as managing burnout, emotional regulation, grief, self esteem, mental health symptoms. 

    • Create resources and workshops based on expertise and interests.

    • Complete reports and letters (e.g., to family physicians) as required.

    • Collaborate with mental health clinicians to support client care, resources, and referrals.

    • Registration with a provincial college with the ability to practice psychotherapy/ counselling e.g., OCSWSSW as an RSW; BCCSW as an RSW; BCACC as an RCC; CRPO as an RP; COTO/ COTBC as an OT

    • Extensive experience working with ADHD and Autistic adults 

    • Strong understanding of neurodivergent-affirming mental health practice

    • Experience completing risk assessments for suicide and safety

    • Commitment to practicing using an anti-oppressive and inclusive lens

    • Master’s Degree is required

    • Lived experience is a strong asset

    • Independent contractor position.

    • Collaborative model with autonomy in business operations.

    • Transparent and competitive pay, determined collaboratively between employer and employee ($90.00-$130.00) 

    • Remote, flexible hours. Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
